1)Theme Music (Music By: Mani Sharma)

Nice,no a great beggining to a highly awaited album.Mani Sharma has used good beats and sounds to make the theme music.Some parts may sound familiar to Harry Potter Movie fans esp. towards the end.The end is good.In all,a good start from the composer.

2)Nee Muthum Ondru (Singers: A.V.Ramanan & Suchitra)

Back to the days of Shahjahan.Nice melodious song with good lyrics.Ramanan has done a brilliant job.The music in the course of the song is also good.The stylish singing in the chorus could have been better.T A M I L ....Tamil does not sound like that at all !! The orchestration is also good.

3)En Chella Peru Apple (Singers: A.V.Ramanan & Suchitra)

Ramanan hardly says a few words in the song except for a few lines in the middle here and there.Suchi has done a good job.The music is taken to good levels by Mani Sharma.Lyrics are for the front benchers I suppose.This will suit for the song in the Bar(Acoording to what I heard)

4)Mambazhamaam (Singers: Shankar Mahadevan & Shankar)

Well...This song is the least good one in the album.(Just my opinion)It starts off with those famous lines "Maambazhamaam Maambazhamaam Malgova Maambazhamaam......".A kuthu song.Shankar Mahadevan is not at his best.(again my opinion only).The background music throughout the song could have been better.

5)Aadungada (Singers: Naveen)

This is the Pick of the album along with the melody.Great Start to the song with the Thaara Thappatai.Naveen has done a brilliant job.(though his pronunciation is awry at some places...Pillai for eg.)The lyrics sound like as if it's Perarasu's although it may not be.Nice lyics for a opening song.The beats are great throughout the song.The chorus is really nice.(Pokkiri Pongal...Pokkiri Pongal).The guy has done a great job.His voice I feel will siut Vijay...it's really fresh.This guy has got another hit to his credit now after 'Kozhi Veda Kozhi' from 'Something Something.'Fans are sure to be dancing to this song when they watch the film.

6)Nee Mutham Ondru (Remix)(Singers: A.V.Ramanan & Suchitra)

This also sounds good.The remix has gone on well for Mani Sharma!I think this is Vijay's first remix song as well.The mixing esp.in the middle was good.Nothing else to say about this song.A good one from Mani Sharma!!

7)Vasantha Mullai (Singers: Ragul Nambiyar & V. Krishana Moorthy)

As it was said earlier,the lyrics of only the first two lines of that famous song have been used.The rest of it is new.The songs sounds nice.Good work by the composer in using some of the old beats.Sounds like as if the song is from a 1970 s film.

This song is supposed to have the same tune from Telugu.(I donno,i've never heard the Telugu Version!).Again,Suchitra in her fourth song of the album has done a good job.Ranjith has very little work to do and whatever he has he does well.The tunes sounds really nice.The reach of this song ,I think, depends on it's picturisation to a great extent.

Overall: some really good work by Mani Sharma in providing new tunes for the film and he has for most part done it really well.He has for sure done his bit well for the success of the film.The songs for most part have original tunes.A good mix of an album for Ilayathalapathy after quite sometime...with melodies,slow kuthu 's and a good fast opening song.
